This Privacy Policy explains how Pipeline ("the App"), provided by Casey Compton ("we," "us," or "our"), handles your information. We've designed the App to keep your data private and under your control.
The short version: Pipeline does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. The deals, companies, contacts, and notes you enter stay on your device — and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud account, which only you can access. We have no servers, no analytics, and no access to your data.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal data. The App has no user accounts, no login, and no analytics or tracking technologies. We do not see, receive, or store the information you enter into the App.
The content you create — including opportunities/deals, companies, contacts, values, and notes — is stored only:
- On your device, using the operating system's standard app storage; and
- In your private iCloud account (Apple's iCloud / CloudKit), only if you enable iCloud sync. In that case your data is stored and synced by Apple across your own devices signed in to the same Apple ID. We cannot access this data; it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases (such as unlocking the full version) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details, credit card information, or billing address. Purchase and restore information is handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data export
The App lets you export your data to a CSV file at your request. Exported files are created on your device and go only where you choose to save or send them. We do not receive copies of exported files.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device and do not transmit any information to us or any third party.
Analytics, tracking, and third parties
The App contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not share data with third parties — because we do not collect it.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Your control over your data
Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, you remain in control of it at all times. You can:
- Edit or delete any record within the App;
- Export your data to CSV at any time;
- Remove all App data by deleting the App from your device; and
- Manage or remove iCloud-synced data through your device's iCloud settings.
Data security
Your data is protected by the standard security features of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Data synced through iCloud is encrypted and secured by Apple. Because we do not operate servers or receive your data, there is no central database of your information for us to safeguard.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated policy at this location. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
